From Ohio to "The River"

Peace and quiet. That is all I wanted on my five day camping vacation to Missouri. DK and I arrived in Eminence, MO on Thursday September 1, 2005 to a beautiful camp-site that overlooked a clear, spring fed, rock bottom river. It was so quiet and peacefully we were nearly the only people there. By Friday some more campers showed up and everything was well, we took a day trip floating down the river on tubes and arrived back at the camp-site only to find that 4 or 5 new "little campers" had moved in next door. The air was filled with small cries and childish squeals and by 6 a.m. Saturday morning I had had quite enough. I heard the phrase "Mommy, I want my butterfly net" about 100 times by 8 a.m. and finally I snapped! I yelled at the top of my lungs "SHUT THAT KID UP!!!"

DK and I moved to a different camp-site after breakfast.

Yes .. I love camping. That was my second camping trip this year. We sleep in a tent but we have an air mattress. You see I grew up a poor white child and every year for my family "vacation" we went camping. You just have to drink alot of beer and you can have a good time doing just about anything.
